The now 19-53 Memphis Grizzlies came into Charlotte and got their chain snatched right off of their necks. Kemba Walker poured in a single game franchise record of 10 3-pointers and finished with 46 points to push the Hornets to a, 140-79, victory. Which moves the Hornets to 32-41 on the season.

I knew the Grizzlies were bad before this game, but my goodness. This must be what Adam Silver was talking about when he wants to bring an end to tanking. I’m just glad the Hornets were on the winning side of this to keep things fun for us.

Hornets fans including myself have called for the tank many times before. But I never want to see them come out and lose a game like that. No offense to our brothers over at Grizzly Bear Blues; we still love you, and wish you a quick return back to your previously known success.

On to the game. Walker had himself a night that’s really all that needs to be said. I’m sure it was his goal to embarrass the Grizzlies tonight, and he succeeded. Finishing the game with a game high of 46 points, shooting 13-for-18, and 10-of-14 attempts. Yeah.

Willy Hernangomez, our president, started tonight in replace of the suspended Dwight Howard and finished with a double-double 10 points and 12 rebounds.

This was Charlotte’s largest margin of victory in franchise history since 1992 in a 136-84 victory over the 76ers.

Charlotte’s next game is Saturday March 24th at 8:30 p.m. against the Dallas Mavericks.
