Now that a certain point guard is the Charlotte Hornets' all-time leading scorer, there's not much left to root for this season. With only a handful of games left on the schedule, however, that's just fine. The Hornets take on the Washington Wizards this afternoon.
This game matters a lot to the Wizards, whom are only half a game ahead of the Miami Heat and Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference standings. Expect them to play their asses off, especially at home.
No clue how much this game means to the Hornets. I mean, you'd like to win for morale's sake but frankly a loss is probably better for the organization come the NBA Draft.
As usual, you can watch tonight's game live on Fox Sports Southeast or League Pass and listen live with WFNZ 610 AM or WFNZ 102.5 FM.
Here are today's projected starters:
Hornets | Position | Wizards |
Kemba Walker | PG | John Wall |
Nicolas Batum | SG | Bradley Beal |
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist | SF | Otto Porter |
Marvin Williams | PF | Markieff Morris |
Dwight Howard | C | Marcin Gortat |
Only Cody Zeller and Michael Carter-Williams are out for the Hornets. Both are expected to be out for the remainder of the season. Everyone is healthy for the Wizards, though Wall and Porter are returning from brief absences.
Tip-off's at 3:00 p.m. EST.
