It’s July, and that means officially signing players and announcing hires.

It’s officially signing contracts on tiny tables season.

The Charlotte Hornets announced a number of signings and hires today, including the signing of 11th overall pick Miles Bridges.

Forbes projects Bridges rookie contract to amount to a little over $17.8 million over four years.

The team also announced the signing for former Xavier guard J.P. Macura to a two-way contract:

Macura, a 6’5 guard, spent four seasons at Xavier and averaged 12.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game his senior season.

Finally (but unfortunately devoid of any tiny desks), the Hornets announced James Borrego’s coaching staff:

Triano will be the top assistant, while Hernandez will coach the Summer League team. Kemba Walker spoke about Hernandez and Nored in an interview with the team released yesterday. It sounds as if he’s known and worked with Hernandez for a while, and that his relationship with Nored dates back to when Walker played against Nored in the 2011 National Championship.

No announcement on the signing of Devonte’ Graham was made, but I’d expect that to come soon enough.

Today marks the start of the Hornets four day mini-camp. After it’s conclusion, the team will head to the Las Vegas Summer League.
