The Hornets have interest in signing former 4th overall pick Tyreke Evans. The team has a meeting set up with Evans today, along with the Lakers and the Warriors.

According to Rick Bonnell, Charlotte seems to be in the best position financially to snag Evans.

Evans has revitalized his career since arriving in Memphis last year. He led his team in both points (19.4) and assists (5.2) per game

Evans also increased his versatility on the court last season. Most notably slotted as a three during the middle portion of his career, Evans has since transitioned back into the point guard role, a role in which he won the Rookie of the Year in 2010.

It would be interesting to see how new Hornets head Coach James Borrego will use him if he comes to the Queen City. He has the size at 6’6” and effective shooting percentages to play at positions the one through three.
