On At The Hive, we cater to everything Charlotte Hornets. That’s why we’re excited to once again feature the team’s G League affiliate, the Greensboro Swarm, in pieces moving forward.
With that said, the NBA G League announced their full schedule for next year today.

Note that all of these games will be shown on the Greensboro Swarm Facebook live feed.
The Swarm are on the road for their first game of the season. The date is November 2, about three weeks after the NBA regular season starts, against the Milwaukee Bucks affiliate the Wisconsin Herd. After that, the team faces off against the newest addition to the G League, the Washington Wizards affiliate Capital City Go-Go.
The team starts the new campaign by playing 7 of its first 11 games at The Fieldhouse, the team’s home arena. From there, the Swarm will face off in a marquee matchup on November 24 against the best team in the league, the Raptors 905.
The team doesn’t have any major homestands or away games that occur continuously. They only have two instances of having a homestand, but those are only three games each. As for away, the team will play five of those games in a row during late January to early February.
Unlike its parent league, the G-League only plays 50 regular season games — 24 home, 24 away, and two in the G League Showcase. Fewer games greatly help the league’s teams as there are fewer cases of back-to-back games. The Swarm only have four such games this season, compared to the Hornets 15, that they’ll be playing.
The early home games should help the team gain some momentum early on. For a team that went 16-34 last season (32% win percentage), any movement in the right direction will no doubt be looked at as a positive going forward.
