With Jeremy Lamb on the injury report with a strained hamstring, the Charlotte Hornets have transferred J.P. Macura from the Greensboro Swarm to the NBA roster.

As a two-way player, Macura is allowed up to 45 days on the Hornets roster. None of that allotment has been used yet, so the rookie wing will likely be able to stay with the team until Jeremy Lamb is healthy enough to return to the lineup.
Macura has played well in his time with the Swarm:
In 17 appearances with @greensboroswarm, Macura has averaged 15.1 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals in 25.9 minutes per game. #Hornets30 https://t.co/xwApDmdj3Q

The former Musketeer is a high energy player with a versatile skill set. He’s a good albeit somewhat streaky shooter that can make plays for his teammates and gives full effort on the defensive end.
Macura probably won’t see many meaningful minutes during his time with the Hornets. It’s more likely he’ll be used as depth a la Dwayne Bacon for most of this year.
Interestingly, Bacon remains with the Swarm as Macura receives his call-up. Rick Bonnell thinks this will change soon, but it’s something to keep an eye on.
