Podcast: The fake basketball is over

The Hornets have finished their preseason slate, so it’s time to get ready for meaningful basketball.

NBA: Atlanta Hawks at Charlotte Hornets Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The NBA starts in earnest next week, and from that point forward there will rarely be a night where you can’t flip on some basketball if you so desire.

Before we get to that, we’ve got to wrap up and put a bow on this preseason. We do that in this episode, talking about what we saw from the Charlotte Hornets during their exhibition schedule and whether or not it impacts our expectations for the season.

We debut a new segment where we pick out players or aspects of the Hornets whose stocks are rising and falling, but with a Hornets twist.

Michael Jordan did a super cool thing for the community, and we talk about what that means and how special it is to have a team owner that’s so in tune with the community surrounding his team.

We wrap up with a look ahead to the Hornets first week of regular season play and predict their record.
