When: 7:30 pm EDT
Where: Spectrum Center; Charlotte, NC
How to watch: NBA League Pass, Hornets.com live stream
The Hornets play the Heat in their second of five preseason games. Unfortunately, this game isn’t on regular TV once again. However, this is the last time that will be the case. The rest of the Hornets preseason will be televised.
As for the game itself, it’ll be our second opportunity to see the Hornets young guys in action. No word on how head coach James Borrego will stagger the minutes, but it’ll likely be similar to the first game with a slight tilt towards more of the younger players. Cody Martin won’t be available as he deals with an ankle injury.
The Heat will be without several key players tonight. Jimmy Butler, Goran Dragic, James Johnson, Kelly Olynyk, and Justise Winslow will all sit out tonight’s game with a combination of injury, rest, and out-of-shape-ness. We’ll probably get to see a lot of 2019 rookies Tyler Herro and KZ Okpala. Herro impressed in his debut, scoring 18 points to go along with three rebounds and three assists in 24 minutes of action against the Spurs.
