New, comments

All-Star Charlotte is finally here and At The Hive will be bringing you coverage from this weekend’s festivities. But before you venture to Charlotte to participate in one of the best sporting events in the world, there are a few things you need to know.

Getting Around:

Parking garages around Uptown may have limited or no availability during the weekend. Valet parking will also be disbanded and many on-street parking spaces will be unavailable. Starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, purses, tote bags and backpacks will not be permitted on the LYNX Blue Line light rail. Riders passing by the 3rd and 7th Street stations will be required to disembark for a security sweep, and will be permitted to re-embark once the check has been completed. No trains will stop at the CTC station (the station closest to the Spectrum Center). Ambassadors will be stationed along the entire LYNX Blue Line to provide information and guide riders. Uber/Lyft/E-Scooters: Pick-up and drop-off locations will be altered, and E-scooters and bicycles will not be allowed in areas around Spectrum Center. In other words, be prepared to walk.
