It’s been a rough season for Frank Kaminsky. The former lottery pick’s playing time has dwindled as the season has progressed to the point where he was benched for the last five games. But Hornets coach James Borrego decided to switch things up in last night’s crucial game against the Brooklyn Nets to the tune of 24 minutes (the most he’s played this season since December 2nd where he was in for 25 minutes) for the 4th-year forward. Frank the Tank made the most of his time - scoring 15 points on 7 for 12 shooting. He also added 7 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block to his stat line.
After the game, Kaminsky posted this tweet to describe his night:
The Untertaker wrestling reference is perfect. It will be interesting to see how Coach Borrego utilizes Kaminsky going forward as the Hornets try to secure a playoff spot.
