Zach and I talk about the Charlotte Hornets surprisingly successful week against a tough slate of opponents. Of course, there can be no conversations about last week’s game without talking about Jeremy Lamb’s magnificent half-court buzzer beating game winner. We also talk about the Hornets surprising comeback against the discombobulated Celtics, their respectable win over the Timberwolves, and their fourth agonizing loss to the 76ers.
We talk about the emergence of Miles Bridges and Dwayne Bacon down the stretch and whether or not Malik Monk can join them in the club of young players inspiring optimism. Piggybacking off that, we discuss if Nicolas Batum and Cody Zeller should even get back into the rotation when healthy.
We look ahead to this week’s slate of games, and boy, it’s an interesting one. We have another Tony Parker vs. Spurs reunion. We go to La-La land to see the dumpster fire Lakers up close and personal. Who will LeBron James blame if the Hornets win that one. And then we get to watch the Hornets play in Golden State, and I warp the facts to explain why the Hornets might win.
