The Hornets will continue the fight for their post-season life Friday night when they take on the NBA Lottery bound LA Lakers. The Lakers are coming off a 115-100 loss to the Jazz, while the Hornets look to extend their 4-game win streak - the longest of their season. With eight games remaining in the regular season, the Hornets are 1 12 games behind the 8th place Heat.

Kemba Walker has been playing outstanding ball during the stretch - averaging 30 points per game. Charlotte has also been getting good production from young guns Dwayne Bacon and Miles Bridges.

“When you put (Bacon) and Miles out there, that’s a pretty good defensive lineup,” Borrego said. “(Bacon) has been fantastic on both ends of the ball, but I just love his spirit right now. Just the confidence, it’s oozing right now, and when you see young guys get this, they want more. They’re hungrier. They’ve tasted it now. They want to keep going, and that group right now wants to keep going.”

The Hornets basically need to win out the rest of these contests and hope for a little continued luck to make the playoffs, but it’s task Kemba Walker says the team is up to.

“Overall, we’re having fun right now. We’re playing for something. This is the opportunity that we wanted. We put ourselves back in a great position. It’s fun and we’re competing to try and get to the playoffs.”
