New, comments

We lay out some offseason ideas for the Hornets now that we know their draft slot.

NBA: Atlanta Hawks at Charlotte Hornets Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

The 2019 NBA Draft Lottery is in the books, so we know with certainty what the Charlotte Hornets are working with going into the offseason. We talk about the pros and cons of re-signing Kemba Walker and whether or not the team should do it. We acknowledge the merits of letting him walk and why we don’t find the idea appealing at all.

Working under the assumption that the Hornets can keep Walker, we go through some possible avenues the Hornets can exploit to improve the team. Zach’s idea is particularly outlandish, but it might be crazy enough to work.

We close with a preview the coming weeks on At the Hive and briefly touch on the draft before lambasting that awful editorial piece the Charlotte Observer published about Kemba Walker as soon as the season ended.

You also get to meet new special guest Kuechly the pupper in this episode. I’m sure he’ll be a mainstay in the coming months.
