The prospects:
- Francis Alonso, Guard. UNC Greensboro
- Jalek Felton, Guard, BC Nokia (Finland)
- Dedric Lawson, Forward, Kansas
- Jessie Govan, Center, Georgetown
- Myles Powell, Guard, Seton Hall
- Marial Shayok, Guard, Iowa State
Francis Alonso made a name for himself in 2018, nearly leading the UNC Greensboro Spartans to an upset win over Gonzaga in the first round of the NCAA torunament. He’s a three time All-Southern Conference honoree and is a terrific shooter.
Jalek Felton is the nephew of former Charlotte Bobcats great Raymond Felton. He originally went to UNC before being suspended by the university last year. He spent the last season playing in Finland.
The other four prospects all led their respective teams in scoring, averaged at least 17 points per game, and shot the ball very well from beyond the arc.
Like many of the Hornets previous workouts, this group is full of second round and summer league tryout prospects.
