The Charlotte Hornets are hosting their eighth pre-draft workout on Friday, and it’s probably the most interesting cast yet.

The players:
- Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Guard, Virginia Tech
- Devontae Cacok, Forward, UNC Wilmington
- Tyler Cook, Forward, Iowa
- Jordan Davis, Guard, Northern Colorado
- Nassir Little, Forward, UNC
- Matt Morgan, Guard, Cornell
Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Nassir Little are the headliners of this group; both are in play at the Hornets’ twelfth overall selection. You can expect to see more in depth scouting reports of these players at later dates.
Alexander-Walker is the cousin of former Hornet-for-five-minutes Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (lots of hyphens here). He’s a combo guard with a strong all around game, not unlike his cousin.
Little was a top recruit going into his freshman season at UNC, but he struggled in his time there under Roy Williams. Teams will be enticed by his physical tools and potential.
Here’s a fun poll question about the two big names in this group.
