Hornets to host sixteenth pre-draft workout on Friday

Another day, another Charlotte Hornets workout as they get ready for the 2019 NBA Draft.

The participants:

  • Louis King, Forward, Oregon
  • James Palmer Jr., Guard, Nebraska
  • Trey Phills, Guard, Yale
  • Rayjon Tucker, Guard, Arkansas-Little Rock
  • Amir Hinton, Guard, Shaw
  • Jared Harper, Guard, Auburn

We’re getting so far down the rabbit hole with these workouts that we’ve now had two consecutive workouts with a prospect that doesn’t even have a picture.

Amir Hinton isn’t your averaged picture-less prospect though. He’s trying to become the first Division II prospect drafted since Robert Whaley was drafted 51st overall in 2005. He averaged 29.4 points, 4.0 assists, and 4.9 rebounds in his third and final season for the Shaw Bears, so the resume is strong.

Louis King is a former five star recruit that had an underwhelming season at Oregon after injury his knee as a senior in high school.

We’re up to 99 prospects now. Only one more workout to reach the magical century mark.
