Washington improved massively from his freshman season to his sophomore season at Kentucky. He became a very good 3-point shooter to round out his already solid all around game. He averaged 15.2 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.2 blocks, and 0.8 steals per game while shooting 52.2/42.3/66.3% from the field/3-point line/free throw line.
Washington should contribute for the Hornets almost immediately. He can slide into the four spot alongside Miles Bridges to form an athletic, well-balanced attack from the forward spots. The duo’s two-way play, all around skill, and outside shooting potential should fit perfectly with Kemba Walker should the Hornets convince him to stay.
