Hornets to acquire Terry Rozier via sign-and-trade

The point guard will sign a three year deal with the Hornets.

The Charlotte Hornets won't be losing all star point guard Kemba Walker for nothing. Former Boston Celtics point guard Terry Rozier will come back to Charlotte via a sign-and-trade.

Upon his arrival in Charlotte, Rozier will sign a three year, $58 million fully guaranteed deal with the Hornets.

It a pretty hefty contract, and Rozier is obviously a significant downgrade from Kemba Walker, but at least the Hornets will get something in return for losing their franchise player.

Rozier will immediately take over as the Hornets starting point guard. Rozier broke onto the scene filling in for an injured Kyrie Irving in the 2018 NBA Playoffs. He averaged 16.5 points, 5.7 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game.

He struggled to find his way last year, but so did everyone else on the Celtics.
