The game will be played in Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, which is where the Wake Forest men’s and women’s teams play.
This is similar to what the Hornets did last season, when they played their preseason opener against the Boston Celtics in Chapel Hill. They’ve also played games in Greensboro and Asheville, NC as well as Greenville, SC in recent years.
This is the second Hornets preseason game confirmed thus far. The first is against the Miami Heat, who announced their full slate of preseason games back in June. The rest of the Hornets’ schedule will probably be released in early August, since that’s when the team usually releases that information.
The two confirmed games are:
- October 9 2019; 7:30 pm; vs. Miami Heat; Spectrum Center; Charlotte, NC
- October 11 2019; 7:30 pm; vs. Philadelphia 76ers; Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum; Winston-Salem, NC
