A number of sports books and betting sites have released their projected win totals for NBA teams next season. They almost unanimously project the Hornets to be the worst team in the league next season.
Here’s a table.
Hornets Over/Unders
Source | Wins |
---|---|
Source | Wins |
Caesars' | 24 |
PointsBet | 23.5 |
FanDuel | 23.5 |
DraftKings | 23.5 |
Not good. The Hornets are tied with the Cleveland Cavaliers for the lowest season-win total in all but the PointsBet projections. In that one, the Hornets stand alone with the lowest season-win total.
Depending on where you look, the Hornets are also within striking distance of the Grizzlies, Wizards, Suns, and Knicks. Caesars’ has the Thunder in that mix as well, but the other sites don’t seem to agree. DraftKings doesn’t even have a line for them yet.
You can find the full Caesars’ projections here and the betting sites’ projections here.
For context, four teams won fewer than 23.5 games last season- the Bulls (22), Cavs (19), Suns (19), and Knicks (19).
