The NBA released the 2020 preseason schedule, so we now know when we’ll next get to see the Charlotte Hornets and all their new additions. The Hornets schedule:
- Saturday, December 12, 7:00 EST, vs Toronto Raptors
- Tuesday, December 15, 7:00 EST, vs Toronto Raptors
- Thursday, December 17, 7:00 EST, at Orlando Magic
- Saturday, December 19, 7:00 EST, at Orlando Magic
The two home games will be broadcast on Fox Sports Southeast. I don't know what the deal is for the last two.
Either way, we’ve got four games over the course of a week, and then a few days off before the regular season, which will probably start on Wednesday, December 23 for the Hornets.
As you can see from the schedule the NBA is keeping the preseason slate extremely localized and minimizing travel as much as possible. As far as I can tell, every team plays two games each against two opponents, with both opponents being in very close proximity. The Raptors will be playing their games in Tampa, at least to start the season, so that’s why they’re a relatively local team for the Hornets.
Just 15 days until Hornets basketball.
