Podcast: Talking more about basketball than the coronavirus

You can’t find very many of these right now.

NBA: Atlanta Hawks at Charlotte Hornets Jeremy Brevard-USA TODAY Sports

The coronavirus pandemic is dominating world news right now and has caused the cancellation of just about every sports league. It’s an unavoidable topic, so we do have to talk about it. But we talk about it early and then move on. This is a basketball podcast, so we talk about basketball. A sports escape from a health crisis. Topics include:

  • The Charlotte Hornets have played nothing but exciting basketball for weeks now
  • The starting backcourt is getting buckets
  • The Hornets have figured out defense and have been very good on that end for an extended period of time now
  • The Rockets game was weird and a testament to the Hornets defensive potential
  • The Martin twins have a lot to do with the defensive resurgence
  • James Borrego was on the Ryen Russillo podcast and said some interesting stuff
  • Some Hornets are buzzin’ and a certain player for a Western Conference team certainly wuzzn’t
