The Hornets will pick 11th in the 2021 NBA Draft

No lottery luck this year.

The basketball and lottery gods did not smile upon the Charlotte Hornets this year, and as a result, they will be picking 11th in the 2021 NBA Draft. I’d say Hornets fans can’t be greedy, but the Cavaliers are picking in the top 4 for what seems like the tenth consecutive year. But I digress.

At the very least, the Hornets didn’t drop down a spot, which was actually more likely than them moving up to the top four. So they’ll pick 11th.

It’s a familiar spot for the Hornets, who entered both the 2017 and 2018 drafts in the same slot. In 2017, the Hornets landed Malik Monk, who had been mostly underwhelming until a strong fourth season that may have been his last in a Hornets uniform. In 2018, the Hornets, bullied the Clippers into giving up a second round pick to move up one whole draft spot. The Hornets than used the 12th pick on Miles Bridges, who might end up being a star.

I know you all are going to talk about it anyway, but who do you want to see the Hornets take with this year’s late lottery pick?
