We’re just a couple weeks away from Hornets basketball being back (kind of).

The NBA released its Summer League schedule, and with that, we now know when and who the Charlotte Hornets will be playing for this year’s iteration of the Las Vegas Summer League.

Sunday, August 8
6 p.m. – Portland vs. Charlotte (NBA TV)

Monday, August 9
6 p.m. – Charlotte vs. Sacramento (NBA TV)

Thursday, August 12
3 p.m. – San Antonio vs. Charlotte (ESPNews/ESPNU)

Saturday, August 14
7 p.m. – Charlotte vs. Toronto (NBA TV)

After the first four games are completed, the two best teams will play for the championship, while the rest of the teams will play a fifth non-championship game.

The Hornets roster is expected to consist of Vernon Carey Jr., Nick Richards, Grant Riller, Nate Darling, and, most notably, LiAngelo Ball. Whoever the Hornets select in tomorrow’s draft will surely join the roster as well. The rest of the roster will likely feature some returning players from the Swarm and a couple of undrafted players that are essentially on a tryout.
